Joe Brennan

Joe Brennan

Business Development Director

Starting out as a qualified carpenter, Joe has accumulated over 30 years’ worth of experience in the construction industry.

He made a successful career change from “on the tools” carpentry to become a qualified teacher before moving on to senior management roles.

Over the years he has successfully led many projects and teams, drawing on in-depth and varied experience. Possessing the ability to work well with people at all levels, Joe has accrued a large number of credible achievements.

He is experienced in planning, implementing, improving, and managing construction training initiatives, as well as overseeing the implementation of government funded employability contracts.

In February 2014, Joe submitted evidence and shared his experiences with a Parliamentary inquiry on how to get more young people into construction. There, he spoke out against “box ticking” policies by training providers that “may not serve the apprentice well”. He reiterated his goals of making sure “the apprentice receives a decent training wage as well as good support”.
